Stay active

Cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon, raspberries are an excellent source of antioxidants, potassium, folate and vitamin C. however, for better regulation of blood sugar, the fruits should be eaten in moderation.
Managing how many carbohydrates you are eating at one time is essential to monitor and lower A1C levels. 45–60 grams of carbohydrates per serving of main meals is recommended while 15–30 grams of carbohydrates for each snack are allowed for maintaining lower A1C levels. If you can follow a food chart, you can easily calculate and check what changes to bring in the food behavior.
Lose some weight
With fad diets, it is not possible to achieve a healthy weight. Check your weight regularly if you are diagnosed with diabetes. Make sure to reduce at least five to ten percent of the excess body fat, which lowers the chance of getting diabetes by 58 percent.
Follow a diabetes medical management plan
Consult with your health provider to create a diabetes medical management plan; it will essentially include the medical instructions, emergency contact numbers, the target blood glucose levels, regular medication list and how often they should be taken. This would help to manage diabetes safely as the doctor can also easily refer to it and diagnose the immediate necessary actions.
