1. Christmas cherry and cream cheese jell-O
Ingredients
1 packet cherry flavored Jell-O
230g soft cream cheese
250ml aerated cola, chilled
1 cup sweet, dark cherries, pitted and drained
Method
Cook the Jell-O in boiling water as instructed on the box. Let the Jell-O mix cool down completely. Add the cream cheese, cola and cherries to the Jell-O mix.
2. Strawberry cream cheese and jell-O pie
Ingredients
250g Graham crackers
1 packet strawberry Jell-O
300g cream cheese
1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
For Topping
Whipped cream
¼ cup blueberries
¼ cup strawberries
Method
Line a dessert dish with the crushed biscuit. Lay out the sliced strawberries on the biscuit layer. Prepare the Jell-O according to the instructions on the box. After the Jell-O cools down a little, add the cream cheese to it and blend well. Add the Jell-O mix over the layer of strawberries. Chill until the dessert is well set. Add the whipped cream, strawberries and blueberries over the set Jell-O and serve.
3. Cream cheese, pear and lime jell-O
Ingredients
1-2 cups water, boiling
I packet (170 grams) Lime Jell-O
1 can peaches, sliced with juice
1 packet cream cheese, softened on room temperature
1 cup mini marshmallows
½ cup chopped walnuts or pecan nuts (optional)
2 cups whipped cream
Method
Dissolve the Lime Jell-O into the boiling water and let it cool slightly. Add the Jell-O along with the cream cheese and pears along with their juice into a blender and blend till the mixture has a smooth consistency. Pour the blended mix into a bowl and fold in the whipped cream. Slowly add the marshmallows and the nuts if you like and mix everything well together. Let this mixture chill in the fridge for a minimum of 5 hours or even overnight. Check to see if the dessert is firm and set well. Enjoy.
4. Bourbon cheese cake
Ingredients
Unflavored Jell-O 4 tablespoons
Water 1cup
Cream cheese 2 cups
Sour cream 1 cup
Sugar 2 cups
Vanilla essence 2 tablespoons
Bourbon 1 cup
Method
In a saucepan, add Jell-O to the water evenly. Bring this to boil while whisking rigorously till everything dissolves. Allow it to cool down slightly and transfer it to another bowl. Whisk in the cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, vanilla essence and the bourbon till the mixture is smooth and even. Let it cool to room temperature and then transfer to serving bowl and refrigerate.
