• Oral Cancer: This is also known as mouth cancer and usually arises when there has been persistent and excessive smoking, drinking and other forms of substance abuse. The main symptoms of this condition include discomfort and pain in the mouth that remains persistently and even grows. A painless lump or swelling in the upper part of the neck will usually be the earliest sign and symptom of this kind of cancer. Also, there are many other kinds of symptoms like headaches, congestion in the nose, ringing sensation in the ears, noise during normal breathing, weight loss which is largely unexplained and bad breath, also known as halitosis. These symptoms can become clearly visible and obvious as the disease progresses.
• Cancer of the Sinuses: There are many different sinuses in the skull, and the symptoms of this kind of head and neck cancer will depend on the sinuses that have been affected by the same. If you find that your teeth have become loose for no apparent reason and there is a lot of pain behind your teeth and nose, then these can be counted as the early symptoms of this kind of cancer. Nose bleeds and headaches can also be some of the other symptoms of this cancer. One may also feel numbness and pain in the cheeks.
• Cancer of the Salivary Glands: This kind of cancer comes with many kinds of symptoms that become obvious at the earliest stage. The face may droop on one side and the patient may also be unable to swallow easily. Further, there may be pain in various parts of the face due to this kind of head and neck cancer along with swelling around the ears.
