Recipes that kids can make

Here are a few recipes that the little gourmand at your home can try preparing. It is however important that kids prepare these recipes strictly under their parents or an adult’s supervision.

Let’s begin with something simple
Place some noodles in a large bowl and soak them with hot water for at least half an hour. Drain them afterwards in a large strainer. Shred some chicken meat, discard skins and bones.

On a separate dicing plate, cut long stripes of pickle and radish.
Whisk peanut butter, soy sauce and a small cup of water until you get a smooth consistency. Divide the noodles, carrots and cucumber among 4 bowls and drizzle them with dressing and seasoning of your choice.

It is a known fact that kids frown at the sight of broccoli, convincing them to prepare a recipe out of it seems to be an even tougher task. Kids can make an appetizing recipe by adding something extra to it. Prick potatoes with a fork and boil them partially. Microwave them tender for ten to fifteen minutes. Transfer the potatoes into a bowl and wrap them with a foil to keep them warm.

Combine broccoli, butter, some salt, and pepper in a medium microwave-proof bowl and microwave it for three minutes. Stir it a couple of times and microwave for a couple of minutes.
Split the potatoes (look out for the steam). Mix with broccoli, sour cream and a quarter of teaspoon pepper or some seasoning of your choice.

Kids love pizzas. It gets even better if they can bake one for themselves. This will surely give them a nudge to bake even better as they grow up. Heat an oven to 425 degree Fahrenheit. Place the pita breads in a baking sheet. Layer the pita bread with ham or pepperoni and top it with mozzarella and pineapple. Bake until the pitas are crisp and the cheese until the cheese melts. This may take ten to twelve minutes. Keep a strict supervision when the kids are removing the baking tray out of the oven. See to it that they are wearing mittens. It is even better if you take it out for them.

Who doesn’t love Nutella?! Kids can whip a pretty simple dessert out of it. Take four slices of bread and spread Nutella on one side. Top them with berries of your choice and put the other slice on the top. And cut them into four pieces. A simple yet relishing recipe that kids will love preparing and eating.
