The new Jeep Wrangler, a true icon
The Wrangler recently celebrated its 75 th year. This goes to show the love, and trust Americans have showered on the Jeep brand and the all terrain SUV – the Wrangler. As a mark to celebrate its 75 th anniversary, Jeep has introduced select models – Black bear and Backcountry editions. The Wrangler Sahara also has some new updates in its trim, increasing its aesthetic appeal and an option of new olive green interiors.
To many, the new Jeep Wrangler 2016 is a true American icon, as the original Wrangler model even though designed decades ago, still carries its iconic imagery and unique character. Renewed styling and some additional safety features have added some zing to this original military vehicle, extending its rugged appeal to people of all ages. Its mechanics might be old school mechanics, but the vehicle is sturdy and makes this a safe SUV to drive.
The Unlimited version has a bigger gas tank, air conditioning, and a 60/40 split fold and folds tumble forward seat. The stand alone options include heated front row seats, satellite radio and touch screen audio interface that includes a USB port and a media player interface. The Sahara trim comes with 18-inch alloy wheels and additional painted exterior body panels and trim.
The 4:1 gearing ratio is a Rubicon trim exclusive; it can also be equipped with half doors that include plastic side windows and manual locks. Hard Rock, a special edition of the Rubicon trim, is making a comeback in the new Jeep Wrangler 2016. Freedom edition and Willys Wheeler have also made a comeback. The Sahara trim has a new urban look – headlights and grille slats are surrounded by satin aluminum, the front, and rear bumper are now body colored, satin metallic material trim is used for interior décor.
