The phones are available in colors like midnight black, orchid gray, coral blue, maple gold, and arctic silver. The models have been priced on the higher end for their superior features. The features can give good competition to any smartphones in the market, including the iPhone 7.

The S8 offers a memory space of 4 GB. There’s 64 GB storage with room for expansion. The phones are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor (2.35GHz + 1.9GHz). Both are rated IP68 which means they are dust and water resistant as well.

The phones come with wireless charging feature. The phones also boast of face recognition phone unlocking feature, ensuring complete security.

Let’s look at the features in detail:

Camera
The S8 and S8+ boasts of an 8 MP front camera with f/1.7 aperture and a 12 MP back camera with f/1.7 aperture, and resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels. Pictures taken on the phones come with vivid colors and with all details. The wider aperture feature ensure that more light reaches the phone’s image sensor.

Display
The design is majorly futuristic. The sleek, curved infinity display stretches from end to end. The S8 with its 5.8 inch seems better suited to small hands though the S8+ screen size looks better. The home button is now a virtual button instead of a physical one. The S8 has much more screen space than the J7, while being compact and light. Unlike the latest iPhones, the S8 and S8+ have headphone jacks.

Pricing
Finally we come to the prices of the phones. Samsung’s flagship product, promising perhaps to salvage it’s Note 7 debacle, is quite heftily priced, especially when compared to its other products. However, the S8 range has gone all out in terms of a breakthrough design and performance. The S8 and S8 Plus boasts of a major overhaul in terms of design and software. The S8 starting at $720 is more expensive than the iPhone 7 that starts at $649 for 32 GB. However, given the memory, design, display, and performance, the S8 range might just be better value for money. The Google Pixel starts at $649 for 32 GB as well. However, S8’s 4 GB memory and 64 GB storage makes it a better choice.
